How is it working in a gym? The world of illusion.

I have praticed sports since I was 7 years old, I've done the biggest variety of sports: handball, football, karate, basketball, canoeing, gym, cycling, triathlon, canoeing 7 years federated, gym 3 years and cycling/triathlon about 4 years to the present, in all the sports physical preparation(gym) has been the one with the longest duration, with different approaches it ALWAYS has to be included in every single sport.


I am a personal trainer, fitness instructor and canoeing instructor, with about 6 years of experience as instructor/personal trainer. I’m included in several peoples lives and in their own personal goals, speaking exactly about the gym working in 2 different countries (Portugal and England) I notice a huge lack of knowledge of the reality regarding this sport which is called bodybuilding/physical preparation, about 70 to 80% of the cases asking help were weight loss.


I retain water very easy, I don’t like to eat fast food, I get fat very easily, I train 5 to 6x week, but I have slow metabolism.


Yes this ones are the main ones, the words many people without strenght to keep their goals on track find to try to convince themselves its impossible for them, yes it is impossible not because of your body but for now your head is not prepared to do what needs to be done to accomplish that goal, so the only excuse is, I’M NOT READY TO LEAVE MY CONFORT ZONE.


DIET: Certainly who works in this world of fitness needs to make people understand diet is the best friend of training, the lack of commitment the people have with them will reflect the outcome with fitness professional, in other words, you really have to WANT TO CHANGE TO CHANGE, it is no about all the miraculous teas, the supplements X or Y if at the end of the day your food intake is not the most healthy and by far much higher than you should, it can be a sense of ease by marketing of supplementation who makes the people belive with less or no effort, they can reach the goal, if you want to look the way you imagine, you need to do the work behind this with no shortcuts, because they don’t exist, quicker you understand this quicker you will reach OUR goal, because we are a team.


TRAINING: I often see clients who care more about taking a picture to put on social media, very distracted by everything instead to focus on their reason for joining a gym and looking for a health professional, obviously everyone is free to make their choices and if everyone wants to pay to go take pictures in a gym it's ok, as long as it doesn't interfere with the seriousness of the people involved, if someone wants to work with ME they have to give nothing less than the same commitment that I give to the client, because at the end of the day his results will also be MY WORK, nothing makes me more proud than seeing the well-being of people achieving their goals, and for that I am here, but also like to see the seriousness that people have when they approach a personal trainer and also want to value our work having the best possible result so they achieve their goals and mine, that is both we win and at the end of the day are our goals achieved! But for this, ask help and workout hard, really hard, and consistency it is not in one month you gonna achieve your goals, the same way to have the job you really like you needed to pass many stages of your life to reach that, with the body is the same you cant accelerate the process you need to know takes time, hard work and consistency.


If you want 100% result look for a fitness professional and give back the 100% that that person dedicates to you.
